As a former "Cousy Candidate" and 2012 pre-season Atlantic 10 All-conference first-teamer, Tony has proven over the course of his collegiate career that he can excel at the Point Guard position. At 6'1" 190 lbs., he can score in a variety of ways, including a lethal mid-range jumper and an innate ability to finish in traffic. Tony also understands how to run an offense, while getting his teammates open looks.
At GW, Tony led the team in assists all four of his seasons, despite being asked to carry the scoring load. During his senior season, he led GW in both scoring and assists.
Following his junior season, Tony was named to the 2011 A-10 All-Conference Second Team. That season, he led the team in scoring (15.0), assists (4.6) and steals (1.3) per game.
His overall importance to the team is best described by former GWU head coach Karl Hobbs, who said of his star guard, "We need Tony for everything."
