CT-scan-based animation of a wood stork (Mycteria americana, GCO 565), showing a surface rendering of the skull, brain endocast, and inner ear. A high-resolution dataset of the braincase collected at the OU┬ÁCT facility was registered to a lower-resolution dataset of the whole (somewhat damaged) skull collected at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital (Athens, Ohio). Rendered in Avizo and QuickTime and labeled by Ashley Morhardt.
