A whole lot of effort, breathtaking acting, indeterminable script, and uh, dramatic makeup went into the first part of "HILLAROCKY", and THE ENDING ROCKS. Brad Bailey, filmmaker, and creator of Accidentalpundit.com teams with Cinematographer Christopher Marc, and a group of LA area film students to create "HILLAROCKY", the new video spoofing the final scene of "HILLAROCKY" using actors that portray Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

In an ironic twist, this video was shot JUST THREE DAYS before Hillary Clinton's speech comparing herself to the fictional character Rocky Balboa. "HILLAROCKY" was filmed at an undisclosed Hollywood boxing gym. Brad Bailey portrays Barack Obama, but it is actor Peter Maley's portrayal of Hillary Clinton that will draw the most, well, discussion.

"HILLAROCKY" spoofs the last scene of "Rocky 3" in which Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed reunite for a personal rematch. With "HILLAROCKY", the goal is to portray a personal one-on-one rematch between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to decide who will get the nomination, and who will become Vice President.

The idea behind "HILLAROCKY" was started after Super Tuesday when the increasing fracture of the Democratic Party was becoming apparent, in addition to the uncertainty looming over the party's convention this summer. Brad Bailey convened a group of LA film students to work on this idea of an independent video that portrays a message of conciliation and teamwork, while still casting the Obama/Clinton contest as a boxing match between friends. What makes this video more unusual is that Maley, a former Conservative from Texas, steps out of his comfort zone to create a character that goes beyond gender, racial, and political lines to promote this message.

Although there was a lot of effort, it's meant to be taken less seriously than you think, so just have fun.

Our next spoof debuts in one week.
