{Love, Patience, and Time. There is no shortcut; no magic. But it will happen, you will see}

Where do I start....I guess the beginning would be a good place.

In summer of 2010 we had sort of maybe started looking for horses. We weren't %100 sure that we wanted/needed another horse yet, but we had started looking for another horse similar in size/ability to Quinn. One of our vaulting moms had been looking for us, and one friday she send us an email with Azra's ad in it. 10 hours later we had rounded up our trainer and were off on the 8 hour drive to see her. We got there, used her for about an hour, then we bought her on a whim, and were on our way home. She was 300 pounds underweight. We had the horse that I would need to progress with my vaulting...1 year too early.

I hadn't really started youtubing yet, and the next video I have of her is in May 2011. Her vaulting was coming along...riding not so much. She had taken to bucking people off. We worked through that issue by about July, right when we headed to a high performance camp for a week. That gave her a jump-start on her vaulting, and gave me the confidence to compete on her in September. I only did my compulsories on her, and you could say that we blew it. She was literally shitting her pants, and was NOT good in the arena. It was to be expected, but wasn't fun, nonetheless. Despite that competition, I decided to move from Quinn to Azra for the 2012 season.

She came together in the winter of 2011/2012. We started working better together, taking some riding lessons, pulling our vaulting together. Me and another girl decided to start doing canter pairs on Azra, hoping that she'd be going well enough in competition for us to do it. And she did! She's been an amazing horse, carrying canter pairs, walk team, me, tiny tots, whatever we throw at her she takes. She's carried people from other clubs, and done amazing.

This summer has been awesome for us. We've done plenty of riding, vaulting, and hanging around. I rode her tackless for the first time last week, and she was amazing, walking, trotting, and cantering like a dream. We went eventing at the beginning of august and got second in our division. Went to our second show last week and got three firsts and two seconds. She did her first flying lead change on Monday. I love her so much.

I know this video isn't really edited, but it's most of the video that I have through our two years together. I can't wait to see where we go together in the next few years.

Thank you so much for *almost* 200. I'm only 3 away! I don't have a video planned...so I guess this is it.

Spoken quote at the beginning is ME. You may not use my audio, but I have no rights to the words spoken. If you want to use it please record it yourself.
