TREMOLOA: Belongs to the fretless zither family. Simulates effect of Hawaiian steel guitar (range: C4 to C6) by passing a weighted roller stabilized by a swinging lever/arm (which has an attached thumbpick!), along a melody string, picked w/right hand. Moving the roller after plucking creates tremolo effect. Left hand picks four chords (C, G, F, and D). Fabulous for “tipsy” background tuneage!
