Outside the Dail Brid took a stand against the inhumane system of Direct Provision for refugees and assylum seekers today. The 'Direct Provision' centres make money for those that run them and ruin the lives of those that live in them. Its as near to internment as you get - years living on €19 a week, no permission to work or study. Are these the mother and baby homes of our day? Then, as now, this is our State's shame.
