The US version of "Family Affair" was a 1960s comedy in which Brian Keith played a rich playboy (who lived with his butler, Mr. French - and make of it what you will) who inherited his late brother's children and invited them to live in his Park Avenue penthouse. Sort of like "Diff'rent Strokes" without the socio-political ethnic content.
(I have always loved this intro; it reminds me of the old Lucy Show kaleidescope intro.)
Also - did anyone out there ever have a Mrs. Beasley doll?
