Pinellas County’s Economic Innovation & Leadership Summit brought together 200 local leaders to discuss the future of Pinellas County, the economy and strategies for redevelopment. According to William Fruth of Policom, to promote future quality job growth, the community must identify, purchase and redevelop land to ensure there are sites available for future and existing primary employers to expand their operations. County Commissioner Karen Seel suggested a range of tools, strategies and partnerships, including adaptive reuse, as an impactful and innovative way to update existing structure for new purposes.
