Taken from the "Tribute for Dr. Beans Bowles" performed live at the State Theater in 1992: Dr. Beans Bowles, Stevie Wonder, Dennis Bowles, Clarence Paul, Thomas H. Bowles Jr and The Johnny Trudel Orchestra.
Fingertips was performed the way it was recorded on the album "The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie Wonder" originally. Stevie was taught Beans melody and the lyrics,"everybody say yeh" and the song was re-released as Fingertips- part 2.The album "Beans Bossa Nova" (which fingertips was recorded for) never got released after that.To this day Beans never was compensated and never recieved credits for creating the melody for fingertips.
Dr.Thomas "Beans" Bowles was the first flute player in the history of r&b and rockin roll. Beans Bowles also created and designed the Motor-town
Special (which was later changed to the Motown Revue) after the first tour that tragically ended after his driver fell asleep and ran head on into a semi-truck.
