Few Winnipeg venues have touched greatness like the Blue Note Cafe. From hosting a jam session with Neil Young, to raising artists such as The Crash Test Dummies, Luc Doucet or The Wyrd Sisters into adulthood, the tiny cafe regularly turned hacks into heroes. When it closed in 2002 it left a hole in Winnipeg's music scene, and a neon sign hanging on Portage Avenue. But now the neon's lit again and if you listen you can still hear the music below its lights. Directed by Kevin Nikkel www.ourneoncity.com Copyright Five Door Films 2009
