The Star Crest Solo Award is achieved when a skydiver successfully docks 8th or later in an 8 way or better Star. Air Trash got John his SCR, Star Crest Recipient Award last year for being in an 8 way or greater star and coming in anywhere. He was base of course. Now we go for the SCS or John docking 8th or later. This is a crucial point of learning in a skydiver's career. Holding back till the formation builds and coming in at a prescribed time demonstrates the ability to control fall rate and awarness of other skydivers in the air. This is a HUGE step in learning how to free fall and perform relative work.

Yesterday, April 12th 2008 we did this for our newest member John V. John does a GREAT bomb-out exit which the cameraman did a fantastic job of capturing. Thanks Terry! Good Job John V. He's been practicing that exit for weeks now. Next thing we have to work on is his tracking skills. He tracks like a lawn dart.
