Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says the Government will move its reorganisation proposals to the last Legislative Council agenda items to allow lawmakers to approve livelihood items first. Mrs Lam said the move was due to extreme filibustering by three legislators which is affecting the smooth operation of the council. "[The move] is to put the proposals put up by the administration relating to the reorganisation of the Government Secretariat to the end of the agenda as far as Government business is concerned, to allow livelihood items to go before the Legislative Council, and hopefully be approved within this Legislative Council session."

She said the Chief Executive attaches a lot of importance to promoting people's welfare, and most items have a livelihood angle. ( http://j.mp/Mg0PNw )
