ProblemThough Sberbank is the oldest bank in Russia, it was also perceived as conservative, bureaucratic and slow. In 2008, things started to changed. With a new marketing team, it reduced lines, renewed branches and created lots of new products. They needed a campaign that celebrated its 170th anniversary in a way that highlighted the latest changes.SolutionSince the new products and services were indeed quite modern and competitive, we decided to show what would happen if a person had access to these benefits 170 years ago, when the bank was founded. Besides showing how far the bank dates to, it made the products look even more outstanding than they actually are.
