Movie Sypnosis / Plot:
The Hyderabadi comedians target faith healers and charlatan 'babas'

As usual they bring the house down with laughter. But at the end one is left fuming for being taken for a ride so easily. That's what the pair of 'Dedh Matwale' does. The celebrated Hamid Kamal and Subhani duo is back with a bang. And this time as 'Dedh Matwale Baba'.

It is slapstick with a purpose. The laugh-a-minute comedy is a real eye opener. The message comes loud and clear -- believe in God and don't fall prey to 'dhongi babas'. Yes, this time the Hyderabadi comedians target the faith healers and charlatan 'babas' who fleece the gullible left, right and centre.

The spate of incidents in recent past where women, particularly, have fallen prey to the swindling seers is the provocation for the new show. Remaining abreast with reality is what keeps Hamid Kamal and Subhani going. Thirty five years and 5,500 shows later they still come as a breath of fresh air.

Literally meaning one-and-half, 'Dedh Matwale' gets the name from the tall and short pair of Hamid and Subhani. Over the decades they have parodied on different idiosyncrasies of man. Their play 'Dubai ka Laddu' which caricatured the craze in 70s for working in Dubai was a runaway hit.
