Woo! I finally did it! I've been talking about it for a while now and I finally pulled off my first HDR timelapse! : )
I shot this as a quick test to see if it would work and how it would look. I'm definitely going to experiment with this technique some more.
So about the test: I shot everything with a 3 bracket -2 & +2 stop exposures. The tripod head was rotating at about 200% celestial time and the shutter intervals were at 6 seconds. Looking back at the footage I think I would have like to shoot everything at about 3-4 second intervals and dropped the rotation down to about 135-150% celestial time.
Also - I was shooting on my 4gig card so unfortunately my card filled before the sun completely set... and it was a very beautiful sunset. The 3 brackets filled my card a lot quicker than I was expecting it to. Oh well... live and learn.
Anyhow - I hope you enjoy the test! Plenty more to come this summer!
