ME Day can be about developing new strengths, finding ways to share your powers with the world, or even recharging a bit. Share how you are celebrating on social media with the hashtag #MEDay!

We spend time every day taking care of the people we love. There are even

designated holidays when we celebrate those we care about and the roles we

play in others’ lives – Valentine’s Day, Mothers' Day, and Fathers’ Day. But

each one of us also has our own unique identity that makes us truly special.

Shouldn’t there be a day when we are not ashamed to celebrate ourselves?

Let’s face it – many of us just don’t make the time. Or we feel guilty or selfish

for putting ourselves first. Before we know it, weeks pass by with little or no

time set aside to do the things we love and find personally fulfilling. In fact,

70% of people don’t take regular ME time!

It’s time for that to change!

Studies show that people who regularly enjoy ME time actually see positive

effects on their overall well-being. Taking ME time also indirectly improves the

quality of our relationships and can even boost performance at work.

So to be better able to help others, you must embrace that you are the hero in

your life! Think of all of those unique traits and skills of yours as your

superpowers… they need to be nourished and developed so you’re better

able to handle all that life throws your way.

We all deserve at least one day to celebrate our achievements, embrace our

one-of-a-kind personalities and connect to what’s really important to us - a ME

Day!

We hereby proclaim March 16th the first official ME Day! And invite you to join

us in honoring this special occasion. Whether you celebrate by finding new

ways to share your powers with the world, or by going to a place that

recharges you, take time for yourselves and encourage your family, friends

and colleagues to do the same.

Show the world just what makes you, YOU! And share your ME Day

experiences on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #Meday hashtag.
