It is such a bummer that this story was wiped by the beeb; but then again wiping it has certainly helped to give Evil of the Daleks a kind of mystique that otherwise it would have. It is also a great tribute to David Whittaker and has his usual carefree attitude to science (time travel using mirrors and static electricity and mind control via 'steam')There is a strange and rather pointless run around in episode one; perhaps it only seems pointless to us who listen to it now. In it's original TV context it probably made sense to spin the story out for as long as possible, which is why I think so many of these earlier episodes are so long. Pity only the second one survived extermination.
