Today we are confronted by rapidly increasing trends in water and energy use, population growth and resource consumption. This supports the need to action to create a sustainable future for the planet without sacrificing the needs of future generations. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) encourages college and university students to protect human health and the environment through EPA’s People, Prosperity and the Planet (P3) competition. Teams of graduate and undergraduate students focus on challenges facing the developed and developing worlds to design tangible, cutting-edge solutions to real-world problems. P3 competitors create, innovate and strive to make a difference. Hear what these students and faculty have to say about EPA’s program and their experience at the annual P3 National Sustainable Design Expo.
