Sneak peek of Infinity 3D engine demonstrating real-time ray tracing of freeform surfaces, basic geometric shapes and constructive solid geometry.
Infinity 3D is new real-time ray tracing engine for 3D graphics applications. Go to http://www.infinity3dengine.com to find out more.
Rendering shown here is hybrid rendering with cpu and its integrated gpu. A discrete gpu can be used also.
Some of the rendering techniques used here: 9x edge detect super sampling FSAA, physically based shading, HDR image based lighting and longitude/latitude environment mapping. Shadows will appear in future videos.
The patch based teapot model is based on the Utah teapot. All of the non-polygonal scene geometry shown here have total data size comparable to that of roughly 900 triangles.
