This is the only known example available in the USA. Helmut Mayr is a very small specialty workshop that has produced some very fine horological examples.
The mechanism is a prestigious model by SBS in the Black Forest in Germany. It features a very small pendulum swing and an hour and half-hour strike on a cathedral gong. The crystal glass housing curves around, almost 360 degrees. The glass rests on a platform with bearings so that you can turn it to access the clock. The carbon pendulum rod insures added accuracy. The clock is powered by the weight of two small brass weights. There is even a secret compartment for the winding key!
This clock is new-old stock and comes in original factory packaging and a two-year warranty. This is a rare and exciting heirloom piece, destined for the person who appreciates the finest things.
