Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, The Science Coalition is asking people to answer the question: Why should science matter to the presidential candidates? For more information, visit www.ScienceMatters2.me.

On May 5th, The Science Coalition hosted a roundtable discussion at the National Press Club with 11 PECASE recipients. The Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers is the the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers. PECASE recipients were in Washington, D.C., to be recognized for their achievements by President Obama and the heads of America’s science agencies.
