This is a short video of me shifting an Eaton Fuller 9 Speed transmission using the progressive shifting method. The truck filmed is a 2010 International ProStar with a 435hp Cummins ISX. The gross weight of the tractor-trailer at the time of this filming was approx. 78,000 lbs. Progressive shifting reduces engine wear and increases fuel mileage. I averaged around 8.2 mpg with this truck by reducing my idling (around 1.2% avg.) and with progressive shifting. The reason the truck took a while getting to 55mph was because it was climbing a short hill.

Note: I was on a straight road with no traffic at the time of this filming. Do not attempt to film this type of event in heavy traffic, winding roads, or on steep mountain grades. Serious injury, property damage, or death could result.
