Dude have an alaskan in 454,, the very first thing the guy at the gun store told me was not to use magtech, cuz they are known to jump crimp, while u r shooting. Big bore revolvers can jump crimp, just gotta know hoe to clear it!

Anyone using the .454 Casull needs/must reload these cartridges, Reloading gives you the control of the ammo quality, and you can make whatever adjustments to the loading to suit your needs, Reloading is FUN and you can feel as though you have accomplished something useful.
600 grit wet/dry sand paper.  Moisten the sand paper (1" square) and take the sharp edge off the trigger and trigger guard.

I had two Freedom Arms .454 Casull's a 7.5 inch and a 5 inch. Sold the 7.5 inch and still have the 5. I bought the 7.5 inch to hunt with and mounted a scope on it. I was sighting it in with 260 Grain JFP Freedom Arms rounds and the projectile had slipped forward out of the brass slightly and the cylinder was unable to turn. I had to cut the exposed led tip of the projectile off in order to spin the cylinder and remove the round. Happened twice. Loved the gun, it was a Premiere Grade.
Why did you sell it ; (. Did you buy another gun with the money?
