Jan Dismas Zelenka's earliest setting of the Psalm 112 "Beatus vir" (ZWV 75), the one presented here, dates from 10.10.1725. In addition another version (ZWV 76) from the subsequent year survives, while his third documented "Beatus vir" (ZWV 77) from c. 1728 appears to be lost.
Between 1725 and c.1730 Zelenka composed four extensive vesper cycles intended for the liturgy of the Catholic Court in Dresden, containing more than 40 different Psalm compositions.

This performance of ZWV 75 is taken from a recording made by the ensemble Schola Cantorum of Melbourne on Move Records (Australia) in 2000:

IV) he shall not fear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord: His heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies.

V) He has distributed, he has given to the poor: his justice remains for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory.
VI) The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
