In 2008, the startup Bobbie Carlton was working with ran out of money. Left without a job, she had to find a new job and pursue her interest in startups. It started with one tweet: “I will launch your product for you, for free” and she called it crowdpromoting. It brought people, startups, and a museum together. Her talk explains how new startups can launch their product the same way. Bobbie Carlton, founder of Carlton PR & Marketing, Innovation Nights and Innovation Women, is an award-winning marketing, PR and social media professional. In 2008, she started her own company…the first one, Carlton PR & Marketing. Company #2 is Mass Innovation Nights (MIN), a social media powered new product showcase that has launched more than 1000 new products which have received a combined $2.1+ billion in funding. Company #3 is Innovation Women, an online “visibility bureau” for entrepreneurial, technical and innovative women. She is a Mass High Tech All-star and a Boston Business Journal Woman to Watch.
