I happened upon this male Blue Grouse one spring morning while on a short hike through a stand of Lodgepole Pine in the Medicine Bow National Forest. He followed along after me for about an hour and then flew onto the hood of my Yukon when I got in to drive away. I'm not exactly sure what his intentions were, but his behavior appeared to be that of a love-struck bird. Apparently birds of a feather don't always flock together.
