We wrote this song for our English project . We sang it for our class and the teacher wanted us to make a video. Yes, this song is based on Blink 182's Adam's song. We wrote new lyrics, we changed the key and we changed the song structure.

Verse 1

My name is Scout, Im 6 years old
I live in a land where its never cold
A place called Maycomb, its home to me
Its where I grew up, its so lovely

But there are things that bother me
Like people telling me what I should be
Just let me go, let me be myself
Im just a kid and nothing else

Im slowly starting to understand
What this town has for Dill, me and Jem
There are days I feel alive
And some Id rather stay in my room and hide

Colours, actions, race, its all the same
Why cant this town accept a change?
I hope I live to see the day
When people stop judging in that way

Verse 2

Some things I cant comprehend
Like the case with Tom Robinson
All that I know is that hes been
Accused for rape, thats what Atticus says

I can tell its going bad
For Mr. Robinson because hes black
No one takes him seriously
And thats starting to upset me
