Stargazing, telescope viewing and fun, hands-on activities for kids and adults -- that's what you'll find at a Statewide Star Party!

Every year, about 50 sites across North Carolina host Statewide Star Party events as part of the North Carolina Science Festival. They're free and fun! You can find all of the sites listed on the NCSF calendar (www.ncsciencefestival.org). Fun fact: North Carolina had the first Statewide Star Party in the world!

This video looks back at a Statewide Star Party hosted in 2014 by North Carolina State University graduate and undergraduate students at Reedy Creek Observatory.
