Tutorpedia Foundation presented its third annual conversation on personalizing education, entitled "Education By Design," February 28, 2013 at the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco. Education By Design featured a series of short talks by dynamic speakers focusing on the most effective methods we can use to make learning personal and customize education in real, relevant, and rigorous ways for all students.

2013 featured speakers:
Alexandra Bernadotte - Founder and CEO of Beyond 12
Brian Greenberg - CEO of Silicon Schools Fund
Kelly Pope - Education Entrepreneur

The inaugural Tutorpedia Foundation Award for personalizing education was presented to California Senator Mark Leno (District 11) and SFUSD Teacher and Author Sekani Moyenda (Taking It Personally: Racism in the Classroom).
