GOD OF CARNAGE performs May 28 - August 7, 2011 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage at the Guthrie Theater.

This 2009 Tony Award-winning play begins as two highly-strung couples, Alan and Annette Raleigh and Michael and Veronica Novak, meet for a civil discussion about a playground fight between their sons. The conversation quickly morphs into a laugh-out-loud, train wreck of an evening among savages - an event The New Yorker called "ninety minutes of sustained mayhem." The New York Times hailed God of Carnage as a "four-way prize fight" and praised Reza's play for delivering "satisfyingly primitive entertainment with an intellectual veneer." This must-see sensation received the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, as well as the Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Awards for Best Play.
