Hi, my name's Alee, and I work at Self Serve Toys. I'm going to talk to you today about the Diva Cup. The Diva Cup is amazing. It is a tampon alternative: a menstrual cup that's made out of silicone. Silicone is a non-porous material, body safe and leak free, and it is great for bodies, because it doesn't hold onto bacteria, so you can sterilize it.

The menstrual cup works like this: you insert it by either folding it in half, or pushing down on one side and inserting it into the vaginal canal. It sits pretty low, and it'll pop open. Pull it down towards the opening, and give it a little twist. That will create a suction to prevent your Diva Cup from leaking.

It's great for any activity: bike riding, exercise, it's great for travel. You can wear it up to 12 hours, depending on your flow, and it's not disposable, so you can reuse it for up to a year. It'll save money buying tampons, and it'll also help keep lots of tampons, pads, and all that stuff out of landfills, so it's good for everybody.

There are 2 different sizes. There's size 1 for women under 30, who have never had a child. And then size 2 is slightly larger for women 30 and over, who have or have not had children, and also for women of any age who have had children.

It's great because tampons can dry people out, cause more bleeding, and cause toxic shock syndrome. The Diva Cup won't do that, because it's not toxic. Some women find that, when using the Diva Cup, they have less cramps and shorter periods, even by a whole day. So give it a try!
