Putting an ordinary human face to the cyclist under the helmet is the aim of the See the Person – Share the Road campaign going live around the Wellington region from Monday 2 February.
Everyday bicycle riders from the Wellington region wear t-shirts with a word or two that tells a little bit about them –whether it’s nurse, uncle, coffee guy, student, Kuia, doctor or farmer.
February, notorious for settled, warm and sunny weather, is a time when a very high number of cyclists are out on the roads.
We encourage all road users to see that a wide range of people ride bikes, and to share the road safely and considerately.
