Part 1:

This is the second part of my entry into the 2012 Moog Circuit Bending Challenge.

I am doing an improvised jam with my modded/bent Akai S20.

All sounds are from the Google Doodle and have had no effects put on them at all other than the circuit bending and pitch modifications.

Rather than use the weak internal sequencer of the Akai S20, I took advantage of the midi ports on both it and a Korg Monotribe that I had modded to include midi i/o. This allowed for a greater demonstration of the sonic capabilities of the Akai S20.

The Korg sent start stop and tempo data, as well as controlling instruments on Midi channel 1 and 10.

The S20 was setup with several patches to allow for more flexibility of sequencing and broader range of sounds.

I recorded this video using my laptop, a USB video capture card and the RCA ports on the Akai S20. No editing was performed-this is the entire jam, from testing to make sure the sounds were loading properly after booting from floppy to the end of the solo jam session.

This entire project has been a LOT of fun, and it's really just great to be able to enter this contest.

Thanks for checking out my video, and thanks for considering me for this contest!!
