Rising cases of child abandonment are causing alarm within the children department. And more worrying is that most of the children rescued are below the ages of six and can therefore hardly volunteer any information about their parents or guardians. Fifty children, who were either abandoned, or lost, were paraded for identification, following a directive issued by the court, after the search for their parents bore no fruit.
