Installing the Reliance Controls 31406CRK Pro/Tran 6-Circuit 30 Amp Generator Transfer Switch Kit With Transfer Switch, 10-Foot Power Cord, And Power Inlet Box For Up To 7,500-Watt Generators http://amzn.to/U3HwZK

Took most of the day Sunday to do it, but I'm proud of my work and I did everything correctly (and safely). Used flexible conduit to go to the power inlet, used 10/3 romex inside the conduit, spray foam sealed the hole on the outside of the house, used the included flexible metal conduit to go into the box, used electrical tape on ALL wire nuts and made sure to twist it home. I have 5 circuits wired up to the switch including refrigerator, lights, wall outlets, basement lighting/dehumidifier, and sump pump with emergency sump pump backup (also has batteries).

IF YOU ATTEMPT THIS, PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN WORKING WITH ANYTHING ELECTRICAL. IT'S RECOMMENDED TO TURN YOUR POWER MAIN OFF WHEN INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT. WHEN CONNECTING THE BREAKER WIRES, TURN THE BREAKER OFF BEFORE CONNECTING ANYTHING.
