Here's an inside look at a heat from the annual Barrett Junction Outlaw Race filmed by Boca Bearings rider, Erik Sato. Riders battle it out in the consolation round for 5th place. The race was held on January 16th, 2011 by Madrid Skateboards, Sector 9, and Gunmetal Trucks. On a closed-road near the California-Mexico border, some of the world's best downhill-skateboarding racers took on the challenging 1.5 mile racecourse. Barrett Junction is known for its horrible pavement, with many cracks, holes, and bumps. The challenging road consists of two hairpin-turns, sweepers, and a final straight-away. Top speeds are around 45 mph. Boca Bearings Longboard Website http://bit.ly/dVqkqz Results: 1st Zak Maytum 2nd Tim Del Rosario 3rd Ben Hryn 4th James Kelly 5th John Rogers 6th Erik Sato
