It's time for desktop fusion! AMD has released a new CPU socket, "FM1", which is compatible with their new line of A-Series APUs -- Accelerated Processing Units -- that combine a CPU and an integrated GPU onto the same chip. Here we have the GIGABYTE A75-UD4H, an ATX motherboard featuring the FM1 socket and the A75 Chipset.
This board integrates all the goodness of the A75 chipset, with six total SATA Rev. 3 (6Gbps) ports controlled directly by the chipset. A75 also controls no fewer than ten USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports. Gigabyte adds four more USB 3.0 ports on the back through an additional Etron controller. If you're looking to adopt an A-Series APU and the FM1 socket, Gigabyte has put together a compelling offering in the A75-UD4H.
