As organized resistance of African and other oppressed peoples grows inside this country and around the world, deepening the crisis of our current economic and social system, what is the role and responsibility of honest, progressive white people? Omali Yeshitela, Chairman of the African Socialist International, will answer that question. Visionary and revolutionary leader since the 1960s, Yeshitela continues today to carry on the legacy of Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Kwame Nkrumah and Dedan Kimathi, building a worldwide movement for African unity and liberation. For more that four decades, Yeshitela has provided brilliant leadership to advance the cause of African freedom. Whether organizing throughout Africa or marching on Obama's White House to protest U.S. wars, Yeshitela is at the forefront of anti-imperialist struggle. This presentation was made on January 9, 2011 at the 2011 International Conference on White Solidarity with Black Power held in St. Petersburg, FL.
