2009 is the 125th anniversary of CHILDREN 1ST (previously the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children). To mark this significant year, CHILDREN 1ST held a unique event in Edinburgh on 23 September, to bring together 125 young people who will act as champions for the promotion of childrens rights in their local area. Invited delegates, including MSPs, had the opportunity to hear first hand from the young people about their hopes and concerns for their future. The young people also produced a variety of films and resources.
