This is the footage I recorded on June 21 2009. A Slight risk was outlined for my area and 15% wind and 5% hail was the threat. A very strong storm developed Southwest of Pocatello and went severe warned with a report of Golf Ball hail and winds in excess of 60mph. The storm slowly tracked Northeast at 40mph and evolved into a line of storms which caused this amazing shelf cloud. The first part of the video is taken South of Idaho Falls as I went chasing to intercept the storm when it appeared to have rotation. I noticed the shelf forming and headed back home to capture the shelf move in. The storm eventually weakened but the shelf only got better. BTW: This video is TIMELAPSED to 60 frames per second. Basically almost 40 minutes shortened to like 4 minutes. VIDEO COPYRIGHT GERRIT GULDEN 2009 http://www.severeidaho.com
