This is a preview of StrandOrgan 6.0. As you can hear, version 6 will support the sounds of the mechanical parts of the organ - motor, keys, stops - that Lars Palo introduced with the beta 2 version of the Kalvträsk Church sampleset.

The setup is the simplest you can get: MIDI keyboard - CCK - iPad with or without dock - headphones. Not even a power supply is needed, as the iPad delivers the power to the CCK and the keyboard. This does not work with all combinations of CCKs and keyboards, though. Sometimes iOS tells that the connected device needs too much power.

And yes, this is really played with an iPad 1. We are still supporting iOS 5, and the iPad 1 is still good enough for serving as a MIDI expander if you accept its limited polyphony, and if you switch to 24kHz sample rate if you use the reverb setting "Real".

"Les Folies d'Espagne" is a piece of Michel Corrette's "Les Amusemens du Parnasse", the scores of which you find at imslp.org: http://imslp.org/wiki/Les_Amusemens_d...

Is it only me, or does the melody remind of a theme of the soundtrack of "Pirates of the Carribean"? The Corrette music, composed ca. 1750, has the benefit that you can play it publicly without having to fear being attacked by lawyers.
