In this mini-video we see some of the reasons why Mexicans, Central and Native "Americans" are one people. Our origins as a people date back to the Olmec civilization of 2500 BCE who thanks to the genetic maneuvering of corn were able to use corn as the main crop to establish massive cities and a massive trade network which also gave way to connected language relationships. In reconstructing our Anahuac heritage we can use Nahuatl concepts, as alternatives to the colonizing terms that kill our Indigenous identity like "Latin," Hispanics," and "Americans." Just because one uses Nahuatl terms to promote Indigenous identity and Nationhood does not mean that we deter the use of our other Indigenous languages. One can claim Anahuac heritage as a Mayan, Hopi, Navajo, Mixtec. It is our collective heritage that leads way for a shared future as Indigenous people. Special thanks to Olin Tezcatlipoca for his vision of Anahuac and having the imagination to show us a different view of what our future can be. Also special thanks to Carlos and Manuel for their talent in the production of all of their videos that show the professionalism and intellect that they have as Anahuac warriors. Tlazocamahti!
