Activist, artist and author of This Side of Freedom: Life after Clemency Tony Papa who served a 15 to Life sentence for a non violent drug offense started a petition trying to secure a visit with his family for his friend Cameron Douglas who is currently serving a nine a half year sentence for a non violent drug offense in federal prison. Cameron has spent a lot of time in solitary confinement and was denied visits with his family because of punishment dished out by the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) It is hoped that Michael Douglas will soon be reunited with his imprisoned son and BOP will lift the ban and allow family and friends to visit Cameron.
