Amina Kamal Khan, Urdu VOA News, Washington The Smithsonian Institution's Folklife Festival showcases community-based cultural exemplars, drawing more than a million visitors each year. More than 23,000 performers, artists, cooks, craftsmen, and musicians have showcased their talents at this venue since the festival's inception in 1967. This year, an exhibit drew attention to Pakistan's colorful arts, crafts and calligraphy, giving visitors an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Pakistan.
