Held the third Saturday of each July, the Annual Franklin Folk Festival preserves and educates about the rich heritage of Franklin, NC and Macon County. The event has a different theme each year to emphasize a particular part of the pioneer days of this part of Western North Carolina. This is done through a total of 100 living exhibits and demonstrations to allow visitors to experience what life was like way back when in the North Carolina mountains. Exhibits include everything from quilting and milking cows to Moon Shinin' and Civil War reenactors. There is always a lot of fun for every member of the family during this daylong street festival in Franklin, North Carolina.. For more information visit http://www.discoverfranklinnc.com.
