Sandi MacPherson, Founder of Quibb, speaks at AccelerateOTT 2015 on Succeeding in Silicon Valley as a (female) Canadian Founder.

Her talk highlights the differences between Canadian and American pitches and what it is that Canadians are missing: an ambitious vision.

She ditched networking drinks and substituted them for brunches, subsequently seeing a higher turn out for women attendees. She encourages people to find their unique unfair advantage and use it to succeed-which is exactly what she had in mind when she started the 50/50 pledge, a call to action to get 50% women speakers at industry events.
