On April 22, 2012 the Philadelphia Flyers leader Claude Giroux set the tone in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarter Finals with a monster check on Sidney Crosby in the first 5 seconds of the game. Less than 30 seconds later Giroux would fire a laser wrist shot for the first goal of the game.
Giroux was "possessed" commented teammate Danny Briere in post game interviews while Flyers coach Peter Laviolette referred to Giroux as "the world's best player".

The Flyers closed out the series in Game 6 on 4-22-2012 with a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
