For eight months in 2009, led by Suzanne Lacy, Chair of the Otis College of Art and Design MFA Public Practice Program, Otis students traveled to Laton California in the San Joaquin Valley. There they explored how art could support local agendas and contribute to the small and struggling rural communities. This video documents one project, to revitalize the downtown by painting the local businesses. Other videos to follow.
