3:02 really got me, the girl Merve Aydin was at third place when she was injured, but still insisted on finishing the race. I really felt for her. She probably dreamed of that moment for years, but it was shattered in single a moment. She still resisted, and that's the genuine spirit. I don't think I'd have the courage to finish in that condition, I'd be scared my injury would get worse.

2008 was good, 2016 will be good; but those trying to compare any to 2012 are missing the point. It could have been the worst games in history but to US it is and always will be the best. Why? Because it wasn't just about the sport or medals or records, it was about our country and the way we all came together. It was about a summer where everyone forgot their problems and smiled and felt proud to be hosting such an event. It wasn't about being the biggest spectacle or spending the most money or having 1,000 drummers perfect to an inch of their lives training wearing nappies for 12 hours a day for 6 months, or a million fireworks all going off within a nano second of when they were planned. It was about us expressing who we are, a little eccentric, somewhat crazy, having a sense of humour the rest of the world doesn't understand and being proud. So to us, 2012 was the best games ever and will always remain so. It made us proud of GB and what we achieved on a (relatively) shoe string budget and no one else outside Britain will appreciate that fact the way we will.

Beijing opening ceremony was great but as a whole London has a place in my heart. It felt amazing especialy the people. My extended family came from India, America, and Australia that month to watch Olympics while on vacation let me tell you none can forget this Olympics still even though we been to a few, and to think people thought we wouldn't be ready in time and thought something going to go wrong. It was perfect. I miss it so much. I wish we can experience it again.

London 2012 was the best Olympics I have ever seen and most likely the best I will ever see. It made me so proud to be British. For such a small country, this ceremony was beyond spectacular. You could feel the atmosphere in the stadium when shown on TV and team GB really lived up to expectations. I honestly can't wait for Rio next year but, in my opinion, nothing will ever come close to London 2012. It's legacy will live on for a very, very long time.

I didn't realise the British press passed on info to the FBI at all, let alone regarding international matters...
I've waited nearly 50 years for that to happen...hate to break the news to you kid, but it's never going to happen, not as long as those brainless sycophantic upper crust suits are in control at the FA...everybody knows how to fix the problem but for years nobody has had the balls to do it...Brian Clough aside (if only he'd got the job)
