File Renamer is an extremely simple & user-friendly application to rename files using numeric and alphabetic renaming. You can either rename thousands of files simply by numeric or alphabetic sequence or you can add the padding mask along with the sequence. For example, you want to rename a set of files like Italy01, Italy02, Italy03 etc. You need to give your inputs for Padding mask as Italy00 & select numeric sequence and the application will rename all the files in the desired format.

User can either select numeric or alphabetic sequence and can also select increment or decrement sequence. You can also change the value, by which you want the sequence to increment or decrement by. Default value of 1 will generate the sequence, like 1,2,3 etc and changing the value to 2 will generate the sequence as 1,3,5,7,9 etc.

Along with adding the numeric or alphabetic sequence, if you also want to add a common suffix or a prefix to the files, give your inputs in the padding mask, choose numeric or alphabetic sequence and check to add suffix or prefix. You can also select the separator between the suffix/prefix and the file name.

The application becomes much more user friendly due to the auto-preview window. Any change that you are suggesting, the application will generate a preview automatically to let you know, how file names will look before you actually rename them.
